Seeking to foster the growth of every student in Faith, Love, and Service to God within a strong academic environment.
Faustina Academy is a striking example of how God works through the love and labor of his people, because it was through the faith and commitment of many persons that Faustina Academy became a reality. Faustina Academy was formed by a group of dedicated families and teachers who were determined to create a school in Irving which would, in addition to providing excellent academics, also provide the moral formation and religious instruction which they believed parents were duty bound to provide their children.
Therefore, on March 30th 2003, a meeting was held, open to the Irving community, at Northlake College to explain this vision and discover whether there were other families who desired to join in the project. Many courageous families stepped forward and provided essential financial and volunteer support. On August 25, 2003 (Saint Faustina’s birthday), Faustina Academy officially opened with thirty-nine students.
Faustina Academy is a private and independent school and is not affiliated with any church or other religious organization including the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Therefore Faustina Academy does not offer Sacramental preparation for its students who must be initiated into the Sacraments through a parish. Moreover, in full accordance with Canon Law 803.3, Faustina Academy does not bear the title of “Catholic School.” nor does it represent itself as a “Catholic School,” and affirmatively disclaims any assertions to the contrary. Faustina Academy is a member of the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools.
